Java Requirement
 
  • VersaForward requires Java. This is commonly already installed on computers. The Windows installer comes with Java included. Macs already have Java pre-installed. Other OSes will have to install Java separately.
  • You can also independently install the Sun Java Runtime Environment.

Installation Instructions

Windows
 
  • After downloading, double-click versafwd.exe to launch the installer.
  • The application can be removed through Add Remove Programs or from the uninstall option added to the Start Menu.
  • Windows Supported: 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista
Mac OS X
 
  • After downloading, the application will auto-extract to your download folder.
  • It is recommended to drag the VersaForward Personal icon to your Applications folder.
  • Double-click VersaForward Personal.
Linux or Other OS
 
  • Sun Java needs to already be installed on your system.
  • After downloading, open a shell and cd to the directory where you downloaded the installer.
  • At the prompt type: tar -xzf versafwd.tar.gz
  • This will extract VersaForward Personal to a VersaForward directory. Then cd to that directory and type:
    ./runVersaForward
    which will execute a script to launch the program.
  • You may need to edit the runVersaForward script to call Java appropriately.
